john k. Never tried corn flakes but just the thought of fried walleye fillets makes one yearn to return.

I did check out the White Birch Site per your suggestion. They've done a nice job on the site. They've also done a nice job around the camp from what I've observed passing by the last couple years. I haven't stayed there since 1986 my last trip to Kipawa until 2003. Wasn't for the lack of love for Kipawa or fishing just life's little twist. I think Charlie Smith had just sold the place around that time. Memory alludes me but I recall another fella running the camp my last stay and it wasn't the couple that normally managed the place.

I think maybe we'll make some time to actually stop this year and say hello to the new owner. I missed seeing the big green log camp on the point that I stayed in many times but I guess that's progress. I even climbed up on that particular camp (I was a lot younger then)and had my picture taken sitting inside a large Moose rack that Barney Jawbones had mounted on top the cabin. I also was in the same cabin when a bolt of lightening lifted it right off it's foundation. A long story for another time but it was very spooky and instantly reminded us of incoming which added to the trauma.

Thanks for the recipe.

Regards, Bill
